Website for
Ballert
For Ballert Holzmanufaktur I conceived, designed and built the complete corporate design and the website, with the goal of making their craftsmanship tangible from the very first click.
It worked: the website regularly receives positive feedback and creates an emotional preference for a Ballert staircase before the first contact is even made.
Branding and corporate design
Ballert previously had no consistent visual identity. I developed the complete corporate design from scratch: logo, colour palette, typography and all business stationery. The aim was an appearance that matches the precision of their craft visually as well: reduced, high quality and clearly recognisable at every customer touchpoint.
UX concept and structure
Two things came first in the concept: clear navigation and a presentation that does justice to the staircases themselves. Visitors should find their way immediately and see the quality of Ballert's work right away. That is why the website puts the staircases at the centre through photography instead of hiding them behind a lot of text.
Technical implementation
The website runs on Kirby CMS. That means fast loading times and a structure that stays easy to maintain in the long run, without compromising on design or user experience.
Impact and result
The real success shows in how visitors behave. Customers regularly tell Ballert that they had already decided on the company while browsing the website, often without realising it and long before the first contact. The website takes on a job that would otherwise need a personal conversation: building trust and conveying Ballert's quality credibly.
