2. Overview

This website processes personal data where that is needed to run it or where you have given consent. Technically necessary cookies store your cookie choice. Measurement and analytics services (Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) only run after your explicit consent. No marketing cookies are used.

3. Hosting and server log files

When you open the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, browser and operating system details). This is necessary to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). How long the data is kept depends on the hosting provider's settings.

4. Cookie consent

This website uses CookieConsent to store your consent. It sets the cookie cc_cookie (duration approx. 6 months). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR and § 25 (2) TDDDG for technically necessary storage.

When you choose a language with the language switch (DE/EN), that choice is stored in the cookie vsdc_lang (duration 1 year), so the website does not redirect you based on your browser language on your next visit. The cookie is technically necessary for this function you requested (§ 25 (2) TDDDG). On your first visit the server reads the language setting your browser sends for this purpose; it is not stored.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. After you withdraw consent for measurement, the related analytics cookies are deleted and the page reloads, so the Tag Manager does not keep running.

5. Google Tag Manager

With your consent to the "Measurement" category, Google Tag Manager is loaded. The Tag Manager itself usually sets no cookies of its own; it controls the loading of further services (here: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity).

6. Google Analytics 4

After your consent, the Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4. It is used to evaluate reach and usage of the website (e.g. page views, approximate origin, device type). Google does not store the full IP address.

Cookies used include _ga, _ga_* (duration up to approx. 2 years) and _gid (approx. 24 hours).

7. Microsoft Clarity

After your consent, the Tag Manager loads Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records sessions (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling) and creates heatmaps to improve the usability of the website.

Cookies used include _clck (approx. 1 year) and _clsk (approx. 1 day).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing (where the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the place of your habitual residence or where the controller is based.
